My
Cavalier King Charles Spaniels Rhiannon became a Canadian Kennel Club registered kennel in
1980, originally showing and breeding the Lhasa Apso.
However in the late 1980's during a visit to the Cruft's dog
show in the UK I fell in love with the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and came
home deciding that I had to have one. I had been looking for another small
breed to show and after the Lhasas, the easy to care for, sweet tempered
Cavaliers seemed ideal.
They were all that I
could imagine. Their sweet, calm nature, love for people, and are a joy to
show. I fell in love with this breed completely and though have owned other
breeds have found nothing to compare to the Cavalier.
After about 2 years of juggling both breeds I did not feel I
could do justice to both so decided to give up breeding the Lhasa Apsos, though
I do still have a couple of oldtimers around.
Rhiannon Cavalier King
Charles Spaniels only breeds on a limited basis and may occasionally have a pet
puppy available, to an approved home on a non-breeding
contract.
